ExecuPharm, Inc. announced today the appointment of Lauri Sirabella to the position of Vice President, Clinical Strategic Business Development at ExecuPharm, Inc. Sirabella joined the organization on August 4, 2008 and will report to Maria Larson, CEO.

In her new role, Sirabella will focus on developing strategic opportunities to further expand ExecuPharm's position as a leader in pharmaceutical and biotechnology staffing and outsourcing. Sirabella is particularly passionate about helping organizations strategically solve their resourcing needs - and will be instrumental in establishing customized solutions for ExecuPharm's existing and new clients.

Sirabella began her career in the pharmaceutical industry when she joined Bayer Corporation in West Haven, Connecticut in 1983. She held a series of positions with increasing responsibility over her 15 year tenure at Bayer, including her final position as Head of Clinical Operations.

Sirabella joined Pfizer in 1998 to develop Pfizer's US regionally based Study Monitoring team which today is known as the U.S. Pfizer Country Office (USPCO). She later led the Pfizer Groton/New London Clinical Study and Data Management department which delivered the operational aspects of study and data management for clinical trials. This group was responsible for more than 75% of the global portfolio of clinical studies. Sirabella played a key role in piloting and implementing the Functional Service Provider (FSP) model within the US Regional Monitoring and Study Management disciplines within Pfizer which included their first remote study manager model. She continues to be an industry expert in this and other specialized insourcing and outsourcing models.

During her 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Sirabella has gained extensive experience and led many successful initiatives in standardization of all phases of the clinical trials process including the development of metrics to measure performance and enhance productivity and effectiveness.

Sirabella holds a BS in Child Development, an M. ED in Counseling and Psychology, and an MS in Statistics and Research Design.
